Google, Your Affiliate Marketing Spy

Here I will show you a little method for "sniping trends" when they are hot and getting your affiliate links in front of as many people as possible. Lets make Google work for us for a change.
Keep in mind that this method can also be used by the internet marketing noobs and just because you can easily drop a direct affiliate link and you are good. And this may somewhat be obvious, make sure that you are in at least one affiliate network. For the beginners, I suggest signing up for Amazon's affiliate program but only if it is available where you live, or even Commission Junction as both of these networks have a lot of offers and marchents that you can pick from to suite your niche that you are going after.
Making Google Do The Work

This method requires a Google service that some of you may not even know about. It is called "Google Alerts" and it is free to use.

1) First, you pick up what offer that you are going to promote but for now we will go with a broad shopping niche for shoes, and just pick the Lugz brand to promote. This is available via CJ program.

2) Secondly, we will go to Google alerts and setup our first alert.

You can use the search operators like parenthesis for phrase match and brackets for the exact match. You can see here that it brings up hits on Google results about Lugz and these are the prime spots to go drop your affiliate link and get a couple bites. But this is not where the magic is.

3) The so called magic begins in this step. Set up your notifications to As it happens and whenever some brand spankin' new entry is found by Google, you will be alerted. You should then go and try to drop your affiliate link in this entry and make sure that your post is the first one in the discussion. And the other eyeballs that come along will see your content first and then your affiliate link will be seen among the visitors on that page.
